Choosing Your Role
Choosing the correct role helps ensure a smoother and more relevant experience.
Understanding Roles on Blended Sense
Blended Sense supports different user roles to ensure each person sees the right tools, information, and experiences in Studio. Choosing the correct role is important, as it directly affects how you interact with Blended Sense.
At this time, Studio is explicitly focused on video, so the creator role is referred to as Videographer.
This article explains the difference between the Customer and Videographer roles at a high level.
Customer Role
A Customer is a business or organization using Blended Sense to order and manage video content.
Customers typically:
- Represent a business, brand, or organization
- Request and manage video content
- Collaborate with Blended Sense team members
- Review and receive delivered video assets
If your goal is to create video content for your business, you should select the Customer role.
Videographer Role
A Videographer is a vetted freelance video professional who participates in content production through the Blended Sense network.
Videographers typically:
- Capture video content during production experiences
- Work on-site with businesses and other assigned Creative pros
- Deliver raw footage through Studio for post-production
The Videographer role is intentionally named to reflect Blended Sense’s current focus on video-first content.
Why Role Selection Matters
Your selected role determines:
- What you see when you log into Studio
- Which tools and dashboards are available to you
- Which Help Center articles apply to your experience
Selecting the correct role ensures a smoother onboarding experience and prevents confusion later.
Not Sure Which Role to Choose?
If you are:
- Ordering video content for a business → choose Customer
- Capturing video content as a freelancer → choose Videographer
If you need to switch roles later, guidance is available in role-specific Help Center articles.

Internal Terminology Note (for Alignment)
You may still see the term “Creative” used in some internal conversations or legacy materials. For clarity in Studio and Help Center, Videographer is the correct and preferred role name.
