Pre-Shoot Checklist

Preparation is key to delivering high-quality content during a Sweep. Arriving fully prepared ensures you can focus on capturing strong footage without technical disruptions.

(Gear, Settings, Backups & Preparation)

Use this checklist before every scheduled production.

1️⃣ Review the Order Details

Before packing your gear:

  • Confirm the Sweep type (Filming vs Filming + Editing)

  • Review brand notes and references

  • Understand the primary goals of the shoot

  • Confirm location, time, and access instructions

Clarity before arrival prevents unnecessary delays on-site.

2️⃣ Camera & Core Equipment

Ensure your primary gear is ready and functioning properly.

Bring:

  • Primary camera body

  • Backup camera (recommended)

  • Charged batteries (multiple)

  • Memory cards (formatted and tested)

Appropriate lenses for the environment

Avoid relying on a single point of failure.

3️⃣ Audio Equipment

Strong audio is essential for professional results.

Bring:

  • External microphones (lav or shotgun as appropriate)

  • Backup audio option

  • Extra batteries or charging cables

  • Wind protection when needed

Test audio before leaving for the shoot.

4️⃣ Stabilization & Support

Depending on the environment, bring:

  • Tripod

  • Gimbal or stabilizer (if needed)

  • Monopod (optional)

Choose tools that match the shoot environment and scope.

5️⃣ Camera Settings Check

Before arrival:

  • Confirm resolution and frame rate

  • Set consistent color profile

  • Check white balance settings

  • Verify focus and exposure functionality

  • Format memory cards

Arrive ready to film — not ready to troubleshoot.

6️⃣ Storage & Backups

Plan for redundancy.

Bring:

  • Sufficient memory cards

  • External hard drive (if required)

  • Clear file organization workflow
  • Proper internet speed that supports large file uploads

After the shoot, back up footage as soon as possible.

7️⃣ Personal Preparation

Professional readiness matters.

  • Dress appropriately for the environment. Always wear your Blended Sense

  • Arrive early

  • Bring water and essentials

  • Ensure your phone is charged

You represent both yourself and Blended Sense.

8️⃣ Final Pre-Departure Check

Before leaving:

  • Confirm you have all critical gear

  • Double-check batteries

  • Review location and contact information

  • Confirm weather conditions (if applicable)

Preparation minimizes stress and maximizes performance.
