Working with Your Videographer
Each Sweep includes a professional videographer who is part of the Blended Sense production network. Understanding how to collaborate effectively helps ensure a smooth experience and strong content outcomes.
This article explains what to expect when working with a videographer and how collaboration typically works during a Sweep.
Your Videographer’s Role
Your videographer is responsible for:
- Capturing video during the scheduled Sweep
- Following the production scope for your order
- Working efficiently and professionally on site
- Coordinating within the Blended Sense production model
Videographers operate as part of a structured production experience, not as independent freelancers. Please note that you will not be matched with a videographer immediately after placing your order. Our Studio team will first review your request to ensure you’re matched with the best videographer for your needs.
What to Expect During a Sweep
During a Sweep, your videographer will:
- Arrive prepared and on time
- Focus on capturing the agreed-upon content
- Work efficiently to maximize filming time
- Maintain a professional, respectful presence
Sweeps are designed to be structured and time-bound, which helps keep production focused and predictable.
Your Role as a Customer
As a customer, you can support a successful Sweep by:
- Being clear about your goals ahead of time
- Ensuring on-site access and logistics are ready
- Respecting the scope of the scheduled production
- Keeping communication focused and collaborative
Clear alignment helps the videographer concentrate on delivering high-quality footage.
Communication & Boundaries
To keep production running smoothly:
- On-site communication should stay focused on the agreed scope
- Requests outside the original order may require additional coordination
- Changes or special requests should be routed through Support
Videographers are not responsible for approving scope changes or handling order modifications directly.
If Questions or Changes Come Up
If something unexpected arises:
- Reach out to the Field Producer or Support for guidance
- Avoid placing pressure on the videographer to adjust scope on the spot
- Flag concerns early whenever possible
This ensures expectations stay aligned and helps avoid delays or confusion.
